OnCourse is the Moodle instance run by EdIn. Moodle is similar to Canvas, the main learning platform used by TU/e. While Canvas has many features, EdIn has various projects that require features not offered by Canvas. Since we cannot extend Canvas to include these features (Canvas runs on Instructure's servers), we use the open-source platform Moodle for these purposes. Using LTI, quizzes and assignments created in Moodle / OnCourse can be included in Canvas courses, offering a seamless experience to students.
